What bugs me about the current rich-guy culture isn't just the money, it's the performance of not caring. The space trips, the fight leagues, the "grind harder" sermons from people born on third base, the weird pride in treating empathy like a software bug. You can build companies, make a fortune, whatever. But the second basic concern for workers, tenants, or the town your plant poisoned gets mocked as weakness, you've crossed into rot. A lot of our elites don't even pretend to have civic duty anymore. They want the yachts, the followers, and the tax breaks, then act persecuted if anyone asks them to chip in. That's not excellence. It's just a pampered guy cosplaying as a philosopher king.
