Banning scholars from military schools because they might challenge the party line is such a self-own. If West Point or the Naval Academy can't handle historians, strategists, or regional experts saying inconvenient stuff, then what are we even doing. You don't get smarter officers by filtering out dissent. You get a brittle command culture that mistakes obedience for judgment, and that gets people hurt later.
