Wild how many people still say “just buy the S&P” like that settles it. If half the index is basically a handful of mega-cap tech names plus a few private AI giants the second they list, that’s not broad diversification, it’s concentration with better branding. I’m not saying dump index funds. I am saying people should stop pretending market-cap weighting is neutral. If you want actual diversification, you probably need to choose it on purpose now.
