Calling reporters traitors because they won't parrot the White House line on a war should set off alarm bells for everyone, left or right. You don't get to slap "treason" on bad coverage and start talking jail time like we're some tinpot regime. If your case is solid, make it in public and let people argue back. The second a president starts hinting that criticism of war policy is criminal, he's not showing strength. He's showing he can't handle dissent, and that's poison in a country that's supposed to have a free press.
