Maybe the problem is critics keep grading movies like policy papers. If a film has to hand you a slogan by the end, that's not art, that's a lecture with better lighting. A movie can be messy, stylish, funny, even contradictory, and still be worth two hours of your time. Honestly I miss when people argued about whether something worked on screen instead of demanding it align with their politics first. Not every story needs to be a sermon for your side.
