Maybe the bar for president shouldn't be "can finish a sentence on TV." I want someone who can absorb a briefing, make a call, and not turn every public appearance into a loyalty test or a group therapy session for the cabinet. Age matters some, sure, but I care more about whether the person is staffed well, listens to experts, and doesn't confuse swagger with competence. That's not asking for perfection. It's asking for basic executive function.
