The ugliest part of the ICE mess is that cruelty isn't some side effect, it's the point. They want raids on camera, kids crying, neighbors scared to answer the door, because that image tells their base "we're hurting the right people." And half the country is supposed to pretend this is about law and order while they disappear people into detention over paperwork, traffic stops, old check-ins. Sorry, no. A government that treats migrant labor as disposable and migrant families as targets is rotten on purpose. If your politics needs masked agents grabbing dishwashers and farmworkers to feel strong, that's not security. That's cowardice with a badge and a flag behind it.
