Feels like half of Washington sees every problem and immediately reaches for the dumbest possible lever. If something's failing, they don't fix the rule that's causing it, they pile on a bigger, clumsier rule and act shocked when it gets worse. You can see it in the border mess, housing costs, even the way cities handle shoplifting. People aren't angry because they expect perfection. They're angry because the people in charge keep doing the opposite of common sense, then calling criticism "misinformation." Maybe stop managing decline and try basic competence for once.
