Good for Kate Delson, no question. But every four years we all suddenly remember Paralympians exist, clap for a week, then go right back to ignoring access, funding, and local adaptive sports programs. If California’s so proud, maybe stop making families fight through paperwork and waiting lists just to get basic equipment and coaching. Gold medals are awesome. A system that helps athletes before the cameras show up would be better.
