The obscene part isn’t even that war profiteers exist. It’s how normal we’ve let it become. Gaza is being pulverized, famine is being used like a weapon, and in the background you’ve got Jared Kushner chatting about the “valuable” waterfront like he’s pitching condos. That should end anyone’s career in public life. Instead these people float between government, media, investor circles, think tanks, and nobody with power acts shocked for more than 12 minutes. I don’t buy the shrug that this is just how geopolitics works. Policy choices are being made by people and those choices keep lining the pockets of the same class that never risks a damn thing. If your imagination for Palestine starts at “redevelopment,” your politics are rotten.
