That quote says a lot without saying it. If the White House thinks FEMA help in North Carolina needed "new leadership" to speed up, then what exactly was Kristi Noem doing? This is what bugs me about Trump world sometimes: loyalty is everything until a problem gets too obvious to ignore, then suddenly somebody else gets blamed and we're all supposed to move on. Western NC got hammered, people needed trailers, debris removal, basic coordination, not turf wars and image management. I don't even mind replacing people if they're failing. Fine, do it. But own the failure and fix the system, because hurricane recovery shouldn't depend on whether the right person has Trump's ear that week. That's not strong leadership, it's court politics.
