Fine, let Europe buy the weapons for Ukraine if they think the war matters that much. That’s actually the sane version of this. The US has spent years acting like NATO is a charity where we cover the tab, then everyone gets offended when an American points at the bill. If Germany, France, Poland, the Baltics want more Patriots, shells, air defense, they should pool the money and place the orders. We can sell them the gear. That’s a lot different from pretending every package has to run through Washington while our own stockpiles get stretched and Congress turns it into another domestic food fight. Europe has the GDP. What it’s lacked is urgency. Maybe Trump’s bluntness is the only thing that gets them moving.
