I don't think "autocracy" is some dramatic cable-news word anymore. When a president talks like courts don't count, agencies get bent toward personal loyalty, and media gets framed as the enemy, that's not normal partisan hardball. You don't have to be lefty or hysterical to see the pattern. The guardrails only work if people act like they matter.
