What breaks my brain is how normal we've made old people working app jobs because Social Security isn't enough and rent, meds, groceries all jumped at once. Then the same politicians who cry about "fiscal responsibility" can always find blank checks for bombs, contractors, bases, all of it. If you're 70 and delivering takeout to stay afloat, that's not noble hustle, it's policy failure. A country this rich choosing war budgets over basic dignity is a choice, not some law of nature.
